In tech, I’ve noticed a definite split between East and South Asians on this. The dudes from the PRC could be clannish, but they generally wished to be left alone to their code and didn’t have hangups about working with non-Chinese coders as long as they pulled their own weight. The Indians… let’s just say, the legislation heading through Congress right now is something I have a very vested interest in not seeing pass, as a non-South Asian coder.

Of course, a big part of this is also cost. South Korea is 1st World in every sense of the word (OK, maybe not psychologically in the older generations, but give them a break, the place was poorer than much of Africa in 1960) and has been for some time. China’s not perfect, but it’s more or less developed now, too. Many Chinese in STEM are actually heading back because research prospects there are brighter with all the money that Beijing is investing in everything from biological engineering to high-speed rail to space: an utterly unthinkable prospect a couple of decades ago.

By contrast, India-as well as Pakistan and Bangladesh-are still places that people generally want to escape from and not return to. Like most of the rest of the world, it’s not as bad as it used to be: some areas toward the south of the subcontinent like Karnakata are, if not quite 1st World levels yet, reasonably well developed. But in a way, the development is adding more pressure: population pressures and the kinds of institutionalized corruption you see in things like education coinciding with this ensure that the sort of employment issues that younger Indians face are just going to get more grim. It’s natural, therefore, that Indian developers on H1-B visas are appealing: the employers can threaten them with return to India.

Indians who are capable of getting the visa are also more likely to speak fluent English than a Chinese in the same position (I’ve met-very, very intelligent-Chinese physics students who struggled with English due to shyness and lack of real life practice), so there’s also that as a factor in their favor. Filipinos are appealing to Singaporean employers for much the same reasons, though Singapore’s government is far stricter than the US about how long they can stay in Singapore. That, and Singapore makes very clear that they aren’t allowed to bring their families.

I will take a Korean software engineer over an Indian one anytime any day. The only reason Indians thrive in corporate America is because of their clannish behavior and bullshit artist skills. They are as dumb as a door knob (99% of the time) and this is the reason India is India.

In my last job, one Indian would show up for the interview, and another would show up for the actual job. Also, the Indian testers would pretend to have tested safety critical software, software on which human lives depended. They LIED about it. All of the people who lied were Indian, and none of the other immigrants – Africans, Muslims, etc were involved. They are a scourge on IT. I cannot say enough bad things about them.

I used to hire indian software developers directly from india between 2004-5.

1. They came with impressive masters and PhD degrees but cannot write decent JAVA codes. None in my team can translate business requirements into codes and I had to resort to hiring a local tech lead to provide sample codings for them.

2. You never know if they will turn up for work the next day. After a few months, I discovered that these people are actually going out for job interviews in other companies. If the other side offered a few dollars more, they will just disappeared without a trace.

3. Tardiness is their hallmark. A majority of the time, they are never on time for work but are quick to pack up and leave the office on time. Also fond of asking for advancement in salary and this is a sign they are heading for attrition.

4. The concept of “deadlines” are totally alien to these people. When pressed harder, some even resorted to crying right on the spot.

5. When I reprimanded them as to the above, they complaint that I have no “democracy”, always claiming that they come from the world’s largest and best democracy.

I retried from software engineering in 2014 after 42+ years in the profession.

My experiences with Indian IT personnel are literally mirror opposites of each other.

Now, most of my Indian co-workers were know-it-alls and quite arrogant about it, putting down US software engineers because they seemingly couldn’t code as fast as they could. Indian IT managers were literally scraped out of the bowels of hell who saw subordinates as merely people to be exploited no matter where they came from.

The technical people appeared to have their details down regarding coding but had no idea on how to design good interfaces or produce quality systems; a trait probably encouraged by their Indian management overlords who had no desire for quality in their output, just that the project get done.

I blame most of the current lack of software quality today on these latter day foreign workers and their management types who now seemingly populate a majority of areas in the US IT infrastructure thanks to even more debased US managers who saw it convenient to hire a smart talking Indian manager over maybe a more reserved American one.

I never cared for Steve Balmer when he was head of Microsoft as he seemed to make very erratic technical decisions regarding the future of the company’s product capabilities.

However, his replacement, Satya Nadella, makes me wish Steve Balmer was back in charge. Nadella, when compared to Balmer, is a nothing more than a technical ideologue who has his head stuck up his ass as he proposes his narrowly focused view of the the wide spread use of the cloud, while at the same time this technology is increasingly demonstrating its own inherent dangers in terms of security.

Since Nadella took charge I have had some very serious issues with their primary development tool, Visual Studio, that have cost days in time to correct faulty installation issues. None of this ever happened under Balmer’s watch…

The Indians are the worse coders in the world. They are usually called “Cut and Paste Code Monkeys” which should tell you about their overall talent. When your Mac (and they crash too) or PC isn’t working like it should just remember all those H1B Visas courtesy of the American Sellout Congress.

Using technology developed by the white man (in Germany, U.S., Russia) these subcontinental monkeys have now been able reach the same stage of space exploration as the white man was at middle of the last century. LMAO.

Indian here. The truth is, there is just no one single “Indian” ethnicity- it’s basically thousands of endogamous sub-castes fighting it out tooth and nail to extract as many resources out of the rest of the population as possible. And it’s this same cut throat clannishness which gets exported out to the West or wherever we go.

Apart from clannishness, one of the worst aspects of working with Indians in general is the lackluster attitude towards professionalism and originality. I’m literally the only guy at my office who gives a crap that the work not be plagiarized- not just because of intellectual property concerns but also because of the ethical aspect of things. Yet, even after informing my superiors time and again, absolutely no action gets taken against said plagiarizing employees/interns.

As for Indian colleges/universities, 99 per cent of them are a total fraud/scam. The professors and college administrators deserve to be taken to open fields and shot for the blatant fraud they’re pulling in the name of providing an education.

From my experience, Koreans and Chinese can outwork anybody. It’s such extreme dishonesty to claim otherwise.

South Asians are much more talkative and socially aggressive than the more demure Koreans, Chinese, or Japanese. They’re more likely to be verbally assertive, especially when pushing to hire more of their caste/language coethnics. Agitating on behalf of your ethnic group is apart of South Asian culture, not so much the East Asian cultures.

South Asians have higher verbal IQ too, so they’re more likely to learn English and become managers. Then they’re in a position to nepotistically hire whomever they want. Chinese and Koreans can be nepotistic, but they rarely are in management positions due to their poor English skills. They’re technically strong though, so they’re kept in workhouse roles.

Indians have verbosity and ethnic clanishness. They also have a family/education/ambition culture. Similar to Jews.

I have to say in my professional career as a Biomedical research scientists nearly all of them were Liars, Cheats and Thieves. And I am being Kind.

So just as an example. When I worked at the NIH to senior Indian Scientists were using Radioactive Isotopes in a Common Use Animal Room that was not allowed to have “ANY” radioactive material in it whatsoever. Well Harri Reddi and Sampath used Carbon 14, Phosphorus 32, and Calcium 45 in metabolic studies in rats and then dissected the animals in the room. It was like the Room was Painted in Radioactive Contamination. These are very dangerous radioactive forms because if you ingest them in some manner they are incorporated into “YOUR BODY”.

When the NIH Radiation Safety Officer did a routine wipe test of the room which was just to get a background level in a non-radiation use area the amounts of radioactive material detected were extremely high. Further investigative analysis revealed it was everywhere, walls, ceilings, benchtops, laboratory stools and even the labeling tape rolls were contaminated. It also revealed that Harri Reddi was the Senior Scientist, Section Chief was was responsible for the use of the Radioactive materials in the room.

I know about this because I was one of the other Scientists using this common use room for my animal studies at the time. Now for the nightmarish Government Cover Up. I had 2 summer students from a high school in Bethesda, MD working for me as Volunteers to help me dissect the laboratory rats we were using. Since both of them were under the age of 18 the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission Rules clearly state that they are not allowed to be exposed to “ANY” radiation either external or potentially internal in the environments where they work.

Harri Reddi lied repeatedly but was forced to leave the NIH and got a job at The Johns Hopkins University. No criminal or civil charges were ever brought against him or is co-workers. Also, it was the largest radioactive accidental contamination of NIH at that time in 1983. The room was partially decontaminated and then closed off and sealed up.

It is very likely the suit has merit: they ‘hire their own’, this is not a secret — also (and this is rarely mentioned): Indians and Asians are significantly over-represented at many of these tech companies (which always happens once they reach a certain critical mass; it accelerates from there), and have been for 至少 a couple of decades — but you will never, ever hear of any EEOC interest in the hiring practices of these companies, as you most certainly would if a company was deemed to have ‘too many’ white employees, ie not enough ‘diversity’ — there is no such thing as too few Whites.

I worked in R and D for a major semiconductor company. Our R and D operation was run by Jews and heavily staffed by Jews. Obviously there was Jewish nepotism at work, and many of these Jews were not nearly as smart as per their self image.

One of the things that make a great country is the ability for strangers to meet each other and have trusting relations. I confronted an Indian PHD, who knowingly was flushing highly fluorinated surfactants down the drain.

I explained to him the downstream processing was not capable of handling it. His answer, “well that is their problem.”

This phd was given a free ride via U.S. taxpayer, at a well known American college. Why? Apparently he tested well, and there were not enough American’s to fill the slot… or whatever.

He also had poor hygiene. We ended up getting rid of him because he didn’t play well with others, and he constantly smelled bad.

There is no compelling reason to immigrate people. The economics don’t even work out if you analyze the data. Usually there is a cost shifting onto the middle class taxpayers, which makes it worse for the country. The middle class is paying for their own dispossession.

So much racist rants.. The US got rid of affirmative action but its a big thing in places like india so majority of grads are from this. They only need to get like 40% compared to open merits who need 70% marks.. So you can see how even a below average reservation can come out on top of someone who got double the grades. Guess who in this group wants to leave? The smarter one can get a great job and being smart knows the grass is not greener over the hill.. And this seems to be what happened with a large number of these affirmative action grads ending up in the US who are barely literate but shows up in the top ranks. I just saw one of these guys get a PhD without knowing english enough to explain what he based his research on. He could not even read the text he so wrote let alone explain what it meant. But he got his PhD because to deny it would cause a ruckus with discrimination and such and no one wants to face that. These people are now in so many places that it is under achievers paradise and wow to anyone who point this out. Until they get rid of this affirmative action, where a small minority of under achievers gets more seats in jobs and education at the expense of everyone, nothing will change. And once one of them gets into a position he will make sure no one else outside will ever enter anywhere he has control.

Is anyone surprised? Indians are like cockroaches, once they check in, they never check out, and they multiply until they rot the whole damn place from the inside out.

As far as I’m aware, South Asian don’t actually have a higher verbal IQ. It’s just something that has been repeated over and over again that it’s now just commonly accepted. Much like the idea of a supposed narrower IQ distribution curve of East Asians that the far-right like to repeat, which as far as I’m aware is false. The test scores in the UK and other metrics indicate that Indians don’t have a higher verbal IQ.

Regarding the IQ distribution curve, the famous Steven Hsu has done some studies on this that suggest that the curve might actually be wider. Also, none of the extant IQ research we have has any data on band distribution for groups, because they haven’t focused on it, i.e. there is zero evidence that shows a narrower band. It’s something the far-right made up, partly to try to explain certain things and probably partly a coping mechanism, that’s now become a sacred myth. You should check out a youtube video by the Thinking-Ape (an NRx guy), who also goes by the name Stardusk, that does a thorough job discussing this.
