I looked at your proposal via your link in another comment. It seems to me overly complicated and indirect. Multiple phases of pretend elections requiring voting volunteers to use their credit cards seems impractical to me.

I agree with 1jonny’s comment 133, that political organizing is necessary, especially for national candidates, and so parties are probably inevitable.

I support removing control of the presidential debates from the Dem/Repub duopoly and returning it to the League of Women Voters. The current control system is designed to exclude third party candidates, and is obviously a power play by the financial establishment.

I heard a compelling case for rank choice voting, in which a voter can vote for both their first and second choices for an office. If no candidate gets a majority, the bottom candidate is dropped. The votes are recounted with the dropped candidate’s votes going to their voters’ second choices. This allows a candidate outside the two main parties to win if they collect enough second choice votes. And it eliminates the “spoiler” effect, by which the main parties try to discourage secondary candidates from within their party on the grounds they will “split the vote” and hand victory to the other party.

I would also advocate a return to paper ballots. Computers should not be involved in counting votes, since they provide the best, most hidden methods of stealing elections since the dawn of voting.

And I would advocate voting only at polling places, no mail-in ballots. There is a monster “chain of custody” vulnerability with mail-in ballots. It’s like leaving the doors to Fort Knox wide open. Carefully controlled exceptions would be made for military personnel on deployment.

I would also take a close look at restricting money in elections. No foreign money to start. A Congressional candidate could only raise money from citizens in their own district (or State for Senate candidates). Organizations (e.g. corporations, unions, lobbying groups) are obviously not persons, and therefore cannot give votes 或金钱 to candidates.

I can’t elaborate the entire plan here. At first, the system would just ask the population what they want. Their votes would be for and against various things that they themselves decide upon. The initial system is to make people angry. Things change over time to create what the party system might call a political platform.
