One of the more interesting aspects of the nauseating impeachment trial in the Senate was the repeated vilification of Russia and its President Vladimir Putin. To hate Russia has become dogma on both sides of the political aisle, in part because no politician has really wanted to confront the lesson of the 2016 election, which was that most Americans think that the federal government is basically incompetent and staffed by career politicians like Nancy Pelosi and Mitch McConnell who should return back home and get real jobs. Worse still, it is useless, and much like the one trick pony the only thing it can do is steal money from the taxpayers and waste it on various types of self-gratification that only politicians can appreciate. That means that the United States is engaged is fighting multiple wars against make-believe enemies while the country’s infrastructure rots and a host of officially certified grievance groups control the public space. It sure doesn’t look like Kansas anymore.

The fact that opinion polls in Europe suggest that many Europeans would rather have Vladimir Putin than their own hopelessly corrupt leaders is suggestive. One can buy a whole range of favorable t-shirts featuring Vladimir Putin on 易趣, also suggesting that most Americans find the official Russophobia narrative both mysterious and faintly amusing. They may not really be into the expressed desire of the huddled masses in D.C. to go to war to bring true U.S. style democracy to the un-enlightened.

One also must wonder if the Democrats are reading the tea leaves correctly. If they think that a slogan like “Honest Joe Biden will keep us safe from Moscow” will be a winner in 2020 they might again be missing the bigger picture. Since the focus on Trump’s decidedly erratic behavior will inevitably die down after the impeachment trial is completed, the Democrats will have to come up with something compelling if they really want to win the presidency and it sure won’t be the largely fictionalized Russian threat.

Nevertheless, someone should tell Congressman Adam Schiff, who chairs the House Intelligence Committee, to shut up as he is becoming an international embarrassment. His “closing arguments” speeches last week were respectively two-and-a-half hours and ninety minutes long and were inevitably praised by the mainstream media as “magisterial,” “powerful,” and “impressive.” The “华盛顿邮报”’s resident Zionist extremist Jennifer Rubin labeled it “a grand slam” while legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin 称它为 “dazzling.” Gail Collins of the “纽约时报” dubbed it “a great job” and added that Schiff is now “a rock star.” 每日野兽 热情地 the remarks “will go down in history” and progressive activist Ryan Knight called it “a closing statement for the ages.” Hollywood was also on board with actress 黛布拉梅辛 tweeting “I am in tears. Thank you Chairman Schiff for fighting for our country.”

Actually, a better adjective would have been “scary” and not merely due to its elaboration of the alleged high crimes and misdemeanors committed by President Trump, much of which was undeniably true even if not necessarily impeachable. It was scary because it was a warmongers speech, full of allusions to Russia, to Moscow’s “interference” in 2016, and to the ridiculous proposition that if Trump were to be defeated in 2020 he might not concede and Russia could even intervene militarily in the United States in support of its puppet. Schiff insisted that Trump must be removed now to “assure the integrity” of the 2020 election. He elaborated somewhat ambiguously that “The president’s misconduct cannot be decided at the ballot box, for we cannot be assured that the vote will be fairly won.”

Schiff also unleashed one of the most time honored but completely lame excuses for going to war, claiming that military assistance to Ukraine that had been delayed by Trump was essential for U.S. national security. He said “As one witness put it during our impeachment inquiry, the United States aids Ukraine and her people so that we can fight Russia over there, and we don’t have to fight Russia here.”

Schiff, a lawyer who has never had to put his life on the line for anything and whose son sports a MOSSAD t-shirt, is one of those sunshine soldiers who finds it quite acceptable if someone else does the dying. Journalist Max Blumenthal 观察到 “Liberals used to mock Bush supporters when they used this jingoistic line during the war on Iraq. Now they deploy it to justify an imperialist proxy war against a nuclear power.” Aaron Mate at 民族 补充说 “For all the talk about Russia undermining faith in U.S. elections, how about Russiagaters like Schiff fear-mongering w/ hysterics like this? Let’s assume Ukraine did what Trump wanted: announce a probe of Burisma. Would that delegitimize a 2020 U.S. election? This is a joke.”

超过 at 反战 Daniel Lazare explains how the Wednesday speech was “a fear-mongering, sword-rattling harangue that will not only raise tensions with Russia for no good reason, but sends a chilling message to [Democratic Party] dissidents at home that if they deviate from Russiagate orthodoxy by one iota, they’ll be driven from the fold.”

The orthodoxy that Lazare was writing about includes the established Nancy Pelosi/Chuck Schumer narrative that Russia invaded “poor innocent Ukraine” in 2014, that it interfered in the 2016 election to defeat Hillary Clinton, and that it is currently trying to smear Joe Biden. One might add to that the growing consensus that Russia can and will interfere again in 2020 to help Trump. Absent from the narrative is the part how the U.S. intervened in Ukraine first to remove its government and the fact that there is something very unsavory about Joe Biden’s son taking a high-paying sinecure board position from a notably corrupt Ukrainian oligarch while his father was Vice President and allegedly directing U.S. assistance to a Ukrainian anti-corruption effort.

周三, Schiff maintained that “Russia is not a threat … to Eastern Europe alone. Ukraine has become the 事实上的 proving ground for just the types of hybrid warfare that the twenty-first century will become defined by: cyberattacks, disinformation campaigns, efforts to undermine the legitimacy of state institutions, whether that is voting systems or financial markets. The Kremlin showed boldly in 2016 that with the malign skills it honed in Ukraine, they would not stay in Ukraine. Instead, Russia employed them here to attack our institutions, and they will do so again.” Not surprisingly, if one substitutes the “United States” for “Russia” and “Kremlin” and changes “Ukraine” to Iran or Venezuela, the Schiff comment actually becomes much more credible.

The compulsion on the part of the Democrats to bring down Trump to avoid having to deal with their own failings has brought about a shift in their established foreign policy, placing the neocons and their friends back in charge. For Schiff, who has enthusiastically supported every failed American military effort since 9/11, today’s Russia is the Soviet Union reborn, and don’t you forget it pardner! “新闻周刊” is meanwhile reporting that the U.S. military is reading the tea leaves and is gearing up to fight the Russians. Per Schiff, Trump must be stopped as he is part of a grand Russian conspiracy to overthrow everything the United States stands for. If the Kremlin is not stopped now, it’s first major step, per Schiff, will be to “remake the map of Europe by dint of military force.”

Donald Trump’s erratic rule has certainly dismayed many of his former supporters, but the Democratic Party is offering nothing but another helping of George W. Bush/Barack Obama establishment war against the world. We Americans have had enough of that for the past nineteen years. Trump may indeed deserve to be removed based on his actions, but the argument that it is essential to do so because of Russia lurking is complete nonsense. Pretty scary that the apparent chief promoter of that point of view is someone who actually has power in the government, one Adam Schiff, head of the House of Representatives Intelligence Committee.

    True, and truly dissident.

You needn’t even leave this website for the craven Establishment line. Mr. Buchanan leads the pack, but columnists like Mr. Derbyshire chime in, too, painting countries resistant to Washington’s control as adversaries, their governments as dictatorships.

Hatred and fear work well both domestically and internationally. Our rulers gain and expand power by fomenting strife between groups with identity (as opposed to class) and Red v Blue politics, and by cultivating foreign enemies to scare people into accepting Uncle Sam’s control.

Please think about this before celebrating or mourning the outcome of the theatrical impeachment proceedings. The system has all it needs from you once you take either side and cast a meaningless vote in the next Most Important Election Ever.

Japan and Germany were also our make-believe enemies not so long ago. Pretending they were threats justified the creation of the military-industrial complex that ruined our republic, just as the Founders predicted “going abroad in search of monsters to destroy” would do.

Somehow Japan, an island nation smaller than California, would be able to conquer and occupy the landmass of the United States. At the same time, Germany, which couldn’t get an invasion force across the English Channel, had hardly any surface navy and no long range aircraft, would successfully cross three thousand miles of Atlantic Ocean, where the US enjoyed overwhelming naval and air superiority, for the same evil purpose.

I guess they hated us for our freedom too. Thank goodness we were so blessed by god, otherwise we’d have grown up speaking German – don’t laugh, a friend of mine who was an impressionable child during the barrage of jingoist propaganda of the war years, actually said this to me with a straight face. That’s really the genius of effective propaganda: its victims sincerely believe they’re expressing their own opinion when they parrot what they’ve been told to believe.

Putin does resemble Hitler, though. Both men refuse to cede their national sovereignty and natural resources to western imperialists. But this time round, the Russian bear has far sharper claws than the German eagle. If there is a war this time, it really will be the one that ends all war.

  3. “The federal government is basically incompetent… Worse still, it is useless… the only thing it can do is steal money from the taxpayers and waste it”

Commendably synoptic. This reader was just thinking that PCR is the site’s premier synthesizer. But this is right up there. As always, there’s a bit more to it.

This state has imposed a servile, fearful culture of violence and mass hysteria and a pervasive corporate kleptocracy. The USA has to be destroyed. Not reformed. Dismantled, as in COMECON’s Abwicklung, or overthrown. It might take a war, and if it does, it’s worth it. In any case it will take multilateral reconstruction to develop a functioning civil society with world standard rights and rule of law.

The USA is a parasite. You don’t reform a parasite, you poison it and shit it out. You’re overthinking this. When you see a lump of dogshit, you say, Ew, dogshit, and you leave it behind. You don’t pick through it and scrutinize every little undigested morsel and clump of hair. We’re done picking through the failure of this dogshit state. Dispose of it.

This criminal state has pissed off lots of people who know how to knock over a regime. It’s time to follow our logical noses to the normative implications of the public consensus and replace this state. We’ll show you.

A fractured and crumbling empire needs external enemies, and the Russians are white, it’s that simple. Without Russia the Left would have to select a non-white enemy or go without. It’s also a very cynical appeal to meat-headed white voters who are still fighting the Cold War as a sort of proxy nationalism that they are forbidden to embrace in other circumstances.

The Republicans also need an external enemy to cover up the reaming they routinely give to their voters back home and though they are less squeamish about selecting a non-white enemy they no doubt are grateful for the white Russians. But then they’re just the junior partners, the quislings, and they really don’t have the last say.

  6. In 1961, Kennedy administration officials McGeorge Buddy, Robert McNamara and Dean Dusk, all CFR and Bilderburgers members, led a study group that looked into ‘ the problem of piece’… The group worried that through “ ambiguous leadership” the “ ruling administrative class” might lose its ability to “ rationalize a desired war”, leading to the “ actual disestablishment of military institutions”.
From “ Nephilim Crown 5G Apocalypse “ by Dean Henderson.

The modus operandi of the United States has always been war, for without war the social cohesiveness among the poor in society might threaten the artificial cohesiveness between the rich and the poor under the manufactured threat of of an outside villain. Labour union leaders who opposed the entry of America into WWI were put in jail by the Wilson administration. Mohamed Ali became a sworn enemy to the establishment when he rejected the draft to fight in Vietnam.

Thus the Russians, try as hard as they can to extend an olive branch to the United States, will be rebuffed until another foreign villain displaces them.

I agree it’s their need for an external enemy, but I don’t think they’ve chosen Russia because of race. I don’t think the average liberal American really thinks of Russia as a “white nation”. They’re much too distant, much too “exotic” to really count as “white” by American/Western standards.

  11. I found the intel report less than convincing. I still find it so. However, the president of the US not only signed on he formally concluded that Russian agents under direct orders of the President Putin sabotaged the US elections, attempted sabotage and sabotage in European democracies, murdered and attempted to murder citizens or guests in the sovereign countries of our allies.

What I think about the intel report simply doesn’t matter. Russia minus some manner of apology, and the extradition of those involved is an active enemy of the US.

I did not think the evidence was that clear. I did think easing tensions was a sound idea. But Upon agreeing with the intel community, the democratic and a large portion of Republican members of Congress, the idea of negotiating minus some wrestle on the matter of sabotaging the election

    scuttles any such endeavour.

And I doubt that I would want to place the US in a position of becoming a joke. A joke because the current president simply bowed to Russian misconduct on our soil and our allies in Europe. And is now wiggle wogging like little puppies for a deal. And OI might even have doubts about the veracity of the election. As the elected executive is now shaking hands with the man who got him elected by their interference. I did not think the evidence supported the accusations, but the president of the US does. And he signed a report so stating.

Now if he signed on purely for political reasons, that would be unfortunate. Because in one view, Pres Putin, would have to view the move as lacking integrity. This executive was willing to thrown him under the bus to relieve political pressure based on falsehoods. I am not sure there is any incentive for Pres Putin to agree to anything given this presidents perceived integrity and inability to withstand political pressure based on false information.

Signing that intel report was bound to have serious consequences and they started the moment he signed.

Knock off Saudi Arabia and Israel and the USA dollar is done as reserve currency. No more dog shit.

  13. A trade and security partnership of Europe and Asia spells the end of the U.S. century.

The Anglo-Zionist alliance must do all it can to whip up hysteria. If the US dollar is dethroned as the world’s exchange currency, US imperialism will falter and Israel will go down with it.

Imagine a future US administration telling the Israel lobby there will be cutbacks, and it will not get another cent of US citizen’s wealth.

Demonizing Russia is part of a strategy to hold Europe from normalizing relations with the near and far East. The loudest anti-Russian voices in Washington come from the usual dual loyalty suspects.

  14. I believe the essential reason the United States of War, governed by the double-headed python, wants to destroy Russia is Christ. Made up of both Democrats and Republicans, neocons have mortgaged the ‘Murkan government, society, and economy to endless war: ultimate objective, elimination of their #1 obstacle to world rule, Russia.

Neocons hate Christ because He is God, whereas they believe they are God. Russia, by her apostolic Church and the long-suffering and ecclesial tradition of her people, protects Christ and His holy name. Christ reigns supreme over Russia and the world. He will preserve His fortress of faith against the lunatic crusaders, as He has done before.

The Evangelikills and Pentecoskulls, whom I group with the neocons, claim to follow Christ, but their militarism indicates they love killing more. Not all Evangelicals and Pentecostals are warmongers; many love the Gospel, the message of love. Seems to me, however, most are dominionist, desiring world hegemony, beginning with Iran and Russia next. Destruction and genocide are the only diplomacy they know–in Jesus’ name.

This is the way that China is supplanting the US all around the globe. The superannuated Deep State are out of their depth in a world where for the past thirty five years Trump has been focusing in declining US trade and economic power.

One must question whether time has not also passed former cold War counterintelligence specialist Putin by, given his making China independent of importation of American LNG and ME oi Will it in the long run be a good thing for Russia? Looking east has not worked out well for Russia in the past, as with the construction of the Trans Siberian railway leading to Japanese counter moves and loss of a war in 1905, which began internal and foreign troubles culminating in the Bolshevik revolution. One might well wonder at Putin thinking a neighbouring non Caucasian power that is going to assume immense proportions in a few decades is less of an existential threat than the US, which cannot get at Russia and has no old territorial claims against it.

Then there is the Chinese neo mercantilism which Trump which has been actively pushing back. Plenty of potential for MIC grifting there. Cyber warfare is ideal, since it is impossible to prove that it isn’t a serious threat, and you just need software rather than planes, which have to fly. Perfect grift material.

I’ll throw out the idea that since the notion that the US is under serious threat is unhinged, picking a non enemy as the enemy of choice makes sense in a Bizzaro World way https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bizarro_World. If Russia were any sort of threat, then bottling their navy up in the Black Sea would be brilliant. We should have insisted that they needed Sevastopol. But, of course, there is nothing to fight over. Oil? If only. There looks to be a permanent glut.

But where and over what? Ukraine? Baltic states? Things like that are a sure loser and a military defeat somewhere would have enormous rebound domestically. Not to mention that Russia has nuclear weapons, raising the risks of a miscalculation leading to disaster. The west Europeans may want to bail out of this madness and establish greater independence. This whole Russiagate affair was stupid stuff for stupid people. Rich Americans parasitizing in a poor country like Ukraine because of their connections to their highly placed parents is rather disgusting. After the Soviet Union fell, we should have all joined hands and gone off to live in peace, but where’s the profit in that? No, our elites unleashed rapacious “shock therapy” and came near to driving Russia back to the Middle Ages. Love Putin or hate him, there can be no denying that he essentially single-handedly saved Russia from being turned into a desperately impoverished third-world vassal state.

There was a lot of potential profit in Russia, ripe for the pickings. All those resources, and our elites were going to get them for pennies on the dollar… until Putin and the current Russian government stopped it. So of course they hate him!

  40. “Why do our elites hate Putin/the current Russian government so much?”

It doesn’t matter. The current president was in a word checkmated on Russia. He could have stayed the course and held out, but he chose to side with the arguments that Russia sabotaged the US election and attempted the same overseas as well as commit murder and attempted murder.

Those accusations that include indictments and extradition requests have the current executive locked in to a posture that sees the Russians as enemy of the US and her allies. The three D chess contention does not have the pieces on the board positioned in the executives favor. Those of you longing for a white kumbaya are going to have wait a little while longer.

We can all pretend it doesn’t matter, but if I were President Putin, I would be very careful making deals with anyone who said I was responsible for murder and sabotaging that country’s election. He may get why it was done, however, that doesn’t make the medicine go down any better.

I think the checkmate so called is not only to the executives moves but those of his opponents as well. They may have intended to derail the current executives agenda, but they have done more than that. They absolutely have no legs to stand on regarding “kissiee face” images — as obnoxious and inappropriate as those images are.

Israel’s existence doesn’t depend on the United States. If you are a Rev you would know that. That tiny group of people outlasted empire after empire not because of their own cunning. At different times – Egyptians – Persians – Ottomans – Arabs saved them when they were on the verge of being wiped out. Lately it was the Europeans (outside Germany) and then the US. The same said groups at different times also “punished” them. If it wasn’t Divine Intervention – they would have disappeared like many other small groups throughout history. You don’t have to like them or agree with much of what they do… It doesn’t mean that some aren’t powerful and aren’t involved in geopolitical machinations… But it is reality – they exist for God’s purposes to be fulfilled Rev.

For all the talk of Chinese “regularly spying on American companies and stealing intellectual property” – there is a dearth of prosecution of these cases in comparison to the non stop rumor mongering. In fact – many of the prosecuted cases – the defendants were found not guilty. Here is a secret – if you sign a contract in a foreign country to share information – it’s not stealing nor spying. Here is another secret for you… More Indians have been caught in such cases than Chinese in the US. Another secret… You know who steals the most IP from American companies…? Other American companies!!!
And as to the talk of them restricting their Christian population… Go to any city in China and you will find churches. What is restricted is public proselytizing. What is restricted is going to churches not approved of by the state. You know why they have that restriction…? They know NGO’s and fake Christians are often used as covert ops. As myself a Christian – unless they are telling me to not believe in the Messiah – there should be no reason to not go to a government approved church. I would ask any believer – what they have to hide…
In any event – according to Pompeo and the Attorney General – China is America’s greatest threat. So it depends on the day of the week and who is talking as to who is more the enemy – Russia or China. Putin has been around for a few Chinese leaders. He has partnered with them to counter the US. First with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization… Then with BRICS (which has it’s own bank)… Conducting many military drills on land and sea. Attempting to push the US dollar out of all trade between themselves… As well as scientific and commercial cooperation (such as a commercial airliner and Russian gas pipeline into China). Either way you cut it – Russia and China are very aware that they are both hated.

    Embarrassing, conclusory primitive nonsense.

    Other than that, persuasive.

An eternal, omnipotent, omniscient God needs a particular random group of his temporary, flawed, mortal creations on a single planet in an infinite universe, so that his will or laws or prophecies be carried out. How self-absorbed, arrogant, and simply stupid is that?

Whether he is a minister or not, neither he nor you “knows” any such thing.

So which races or groups of people — or other sentient beings — are NOT “necessary” for God’s “purposes to be fulfilled”, and why?

The essential fact is… Jews use the Shabbos Goyim as cover, as much as for support.

That is why… blaming the Shabbos Goyim plays directly into the Jew’s reason #1 for SG in the first place.

Cover… masking… misdirection… false flagging… propaganda… control of voice… are all tactics and techniques for a tiny parasitic bloodsucking invader minority to wield control over a large host victim population.

Stop giving Jews cover. The SG are only an accessory to the real problem.

  47. @RadicalCenter

Actually yes – that is pretty much it. Human beings are finite creatures – so we have to be fed things in bits and morsels. Yes the bible is clear. It wasn’t because the children of Israel were better or stronger or smarter or more righteous than any other group that they survive. It is only because of the promises to the patriarchs starting with Abraham. They were given instruction to be a light to the world. When they do they are blessed. When they don’t – they are punished. Same with the whole issue of “the middle east”. The fight is all about Jerusalem and has been for thousands of years. There is no reason to fight over that little spit of land. It’s a spiritual issue. The omnipotent God has a fond liking of that little strip of land. The forces in the universe that are anti-God will do anything to control and desecrate it.

I know though – none of it will makes sense to “smart” people like yourself (though my college GPA supposedly says that I am also). It is easier for persons like yourselves to believe the universe formed by random clumps of dust and that life on earth formed by some random mutations of some random molecules… That’s fine – it is not in my power to convince you otherwise. You can study the depths of science and math and philosophy until your dying day – and your soul won’t be at peace. It hurts to kick against the pricks.

Your attempts at insult only show the corruption of your soul. Doesn’t shake me one bit.

Maybe Putin learned from the past and realized that it is better to have neighboring Orientals as friends – instead of heeding Kaiser Wilhelm’s words to the Tsar that they are inferior and seek to destroy all white men. Maybe Putin is smarter and realizes both Russia and China prosper when they are friendly.

When I voted, I didn’t see some guy who looked like Ernst Stavro Blofeld saying to me, “Hey, Comrade Larson, you’ll vote against Hillary Clinton, da?” Of course, there’s never been heard a discouraging word about AIPAC and its pernicious hold over our political hacks. . . .

And, yes, Adam Schiff is an Israel-Firster, an armchair commando who’s always looking out for the Zionists in Tel Aviv.

I was interested to see where China gets its oil from:

Below are the top 15 countries that supplied 90.6% of the crude oil imported into China during 2018.

Russia: US\$37.9 billion (15.8% of China’s total imported crude)
    Saudi Arabia: \$29.7 billion (12.4%)
    Angola: \$24.9 billion (10.4%)
    Iraq: \$22.4 billion (9.4%)
    Oman: \$17.3 billion (7.2%)
    Brazil: \$16.2 billion (6.8%)
    Iran: \$15 billion (6.3%)
    Kuwait: \$11.9 billion (5%)
    Venezuela: \$7 billion (2.9%)
    美国:6.8 亿美元(2.8%)
United Arab Emirates: \$6.7 billion (2.8%)
    Congo: \$6.4 billion (2.7%)
    Colombia: \$5 billion (2.1%)
    马来西亚:4.8 亿美元(2%)
    Libya: \$4.7 billion (2%)

Perhaps Russia could supply even more from nearby Siberia and knock out some of the unfriendly or unreliable suppliers on that list. It was good to see the recent launch of the gas line to China:

    https://www.rt.com/business/474830-russia-china-power-siberia-launch/

Since there is so much hostility to Russia in the West, it should really look to supplying far more of China’s energy needs.

And you seem to think that I’m an atheist. I am definitely NOT. It is eminently logical to me that God exists and created all of existence, as difficult as that is for any of us honestly to fully comprehend or explain. Neither my respectable level of intelligence nor my academic and professional achievements, have ever enabled me to adequately comprehend or rationally and convincingly explain this situation. You can’t either.

Their blood boils with hatred whenever Putin makes his frequent speeches about the necessity to return to Christ, to go to Church, and to have strong, stable traditional Christian families with lots of Russian children who are raised in the Orthodox faith.

Having a leader who is for HIS people and is telling HIS people to return to Christ?!?

That stands in the way of (((their))) Tikkun Olam and cannot be tolerated.

Hence the hatred for Putin/Russia, which is probably more intense now than it ever was.
